_{Since I have no working scanner currently, I have no way of uploading my art. The only computer program I have is MS Paint and I don't have a tablet. :/ So I'm lacking much to work with here....
But I'm determined to try and use Paint more effectively. I've been practicing sketching with the mouse, creating line art with the pen tool, and shading with a dithering technique.

This is the first piece I feel good enough about to actually upload. It's just a head shot. Mostly because if I continued at that size, my hand would probably die trying to dither the whole thing X_X Most of my pixel work in full will be smaller than this, probably. Once I get the hang of it, I'll be able to do bigger work.

Anyway, I'm hoping to improve here, so any notes or advice would be welcome. I know the face isn't angled enough with this and there are a few other issues (such as the ears), but I want to know an over-all opinion.
Also, that isn't one of my characters. I want to focus on more realistic things first, to get used to sketching. Then I'll do more stylized things.

I have a lot of respect for those who can use paint this efficiently, heavens no I don't have the patience for it! xD
